Folasade Adesanya is a queer agender writer and independent scholar.

Their work is deeply aligned with their spiritual practice, with projects that source from queer Afro-diasporic archives, oral histories, and inherited knowledge. Their current projects include experimental prose poetry and microessays; speculative non/fiction that centers QTGNC care communities in historic Black neighborhoods; and unraveling the stories behind her lineage via interviews with extended family.

Folasade is a co-creator & manager at Studio AGD. She is also the founder of The Black Syllabus, an organization promoting literacy and holistic education informed by Afro-ancestral knowledge. Folasade was born and raised in the Bay Area, currently freezing in Minneapolis.
